Admission Rules & Guidelines

At Discovery Public School, Mirzaganj – Giridih, we believe that admissions are not just about enrollment — they are about creating a strong foundation for every child's future. We aim to make the process transparent, inclusive, and easy to follow for all aspiring students from rural and surrounding areas.

Please read the following rules and guidelines carefully before applying for admission to any class. These rules are framed to ensure a fair, smooth, and disciplined admission process for every child.

📌 General Admission Rules

  • Admission is open to all children irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.
  • New admissions are generally taken at the beginning of the academic year in the month of April.
  • The minimum age for Nursery is 3+ years as on 31st March of the admission year.
  • Admission to higher classes will be based on availability of seats and a qualifying entrance test.
  • Submission of application form does not guarantee admission.
  • The school management reserves the right to accept or reject any admission without assigning any reason.

📄 Documents Required at the Time of Admission

  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal/Gram Panchayat authorities)
  • Two passport-size photographs of the child
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card of the child and parents
  • Transfer Certificate (for admission to Class II and above)
  • Last report card from the previous school (if applicable)

📚 Admission Procedure

  • Parents/Guardians must fill the admission form online or collect it from the school office.
  • Submit the duly filled form with all required documents at the office.
  • Students applying for Class II and above will appear for a simple entrance test.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interaction session with the Principal.
  • On confirmation, admission fees must be paid within the given time to confirm the seat.

📝 Important Notes

  • Incomplete forms will be rejected without further notice.
  • False information in the admission form may lead to cancellation of admission.
  • Parents are advised to keep a photocopy of the filled form for reference.
  • All decisions taken by the admission committee will be final and binding.
