School Rules & Regulations
At Discovery Public School, Mirzaganj – Giridih, we believe that discipline and responsibility are the cornerstones of quality education. The following rules and regulations are framed to ensure a safe, respectful, and academically enriching environment for all students.
📌 General Conduct
- Students must always maintain discipline and decorum within the school premises.
- Bullying, use of foul language, or any act of indiscipline will lead to strict action or suspension.
- Respect for teachers, classmates, and staff is expected at all times.
- Students should move silently and in an orderly manner between classes.
- Parents are requested to instill the value of punctuality and sincerity in their children.
🧑🏫 Attendance & Punctuality
- Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to be eligible for annual exams.
- Students must arrive before the first bell rings and participate in morning assembly.
- Latecomers will not be allowed to attend class without prior permission.
- Leave of absence must be submitted in writing with the parent’s signature.
🎒 Uniform & Cleanliness
- Students must come in neat and complete school uniform every day, including ID cards.
- Hair must be properly groomed. Long nails and use of nail polish are not allowed.
- Cleanliness is a shared responsibility. Students must keep classrooms and school grounds tidy.
📵 Use of Electronic Devices
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited on campus.
- If found, the device will be confiscated and returned only to the parent with a warning.
📚 Academics & Homework
- Students must complete all homework, classwork, and projects within the stipulated time.
- Cheating during examinations is a serious offense and may result in suspension or cancellation of paper.
- Textbooks and notebooks must be brought as per the time-table.
🧾 Fees & Dues
- School fees should be paid on time to avoid late fines or denial of access to classes/exams.
- Fee details will be shared in the student diary or can be checked from the school office.
- Non-payment of fees for two consecutive months may result in suspension from school.
🚸 School Property & Safety
- Students must not damage school furniture, walls, plants, or books.
- Any damage caused intentionally or unintentionally will be recovered from the student responsible.
- Emergency drills will be conducted regularly. Students are expected to participate seriously.
⚠️ Important Reminders
- Parents must not visit classrooms during school hours without prior permission.
- Private tuitions by school teachers are not permitted without management consent.
- Students are not allowed to leave school during school hours without a gate pass signed by the Principal.
